Electronic Systems Technical Specialist - Software

Location: Pune, Maharashtra, India

Key Responsibilities Product Software Development & Engineering
  • Investigate product software issues, determine root causes, develop corrective actions, and drive problem resolution.
  • Design, develop, test, validate, and release software features and components for Cummins product platforms.
  • Contribute to software architecture, requirements analysis, design reviews, and verification activities.
  • Apply software engineering best practices to deliver high-quality, reusable, and maintainable solutions.
  • Support continuous improvement of software development processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Review and mentor less experienced engineers to ensure robust and efficient software designs.
DV Team Scripting & Automation
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance automation scripts supporting DV Team workspace management and AUTOSAR configuration workflows.
  • Create Python-based tools for generation, transformation, validation, and analysis of AUTOSAR configuration artifacts.
  • Automate ECU extract, system extract, ARXML processing, and configuration generation activities.
  • Develop consistency and quality checks across AUTOSAR XML (ARXML) files and generated outputs.
  • Implement automated configuration validation within CI/CD environments.
  • Support automation of release packaging, workspace synchronization, deployment, and reporting activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve scripting, integration, and build-related issues.
  • Develop utilities for data extraction, reporting, and configuration analysis.
Software Integration & Build Support
  • Support integration of AUTOSAR software components into ECU platforms.
  • Collaborate with software architects, integration teams, and feature owners on configuration updates and implementation activities.
  • Analyze and resolve issues related to generated software configuration code.
  • Support migration activities between AUTOSAR releases and Vector tool versions.
  • Assist in software package generation, artifact creation, and dependency management.
CI/CD & Configuration Management
  • Develop and maintain automation solutions for configuration generation within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Integrate software validation activities into automated build environments.
  • Support Git-based version control practices, branching strategies, and repository management.
  • Maintain version-controlled configuration baselines and release readiness documentation.
  • Generate automated reports and dashboards to monitor configuration health and product readiness.
Technical Leadership & Collaboration
  • Lead or independently execute medium-complexity projects and software components with accountability for quality and delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional global teams to support product development objectives.
  • Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to engineers and technical team members.
  • Influence technical direction and contribute to continuous process and technology improvements.
