Job Title: Lead SWE (Software Engineer) - Data Engineering MT Department

Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead SWE to join our Data Engineering MT Department. As a Lead SWE, you will be responsible for leading a team of software engineers in designing, developing, and maintaining data engineering solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality data engineering projects.

Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Lead a team of software engineers in the development and implementation of data engineering solutions.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design data models, and develop scalable and efficient data pipelines.
3. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
4. Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and maintainability.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve complex data engineering issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations.
6. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies related to data engineering, and recommend improvements to existing systems and processes.
7. Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand their requirements and provide data engineering support for their projects.
8. Collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams to ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of data engineering systems.
9. Document and communicate technical solutions, processes, and best practices to team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. 3-5 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on data engineering.
3. Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
4. Experience with data engineering tools and technologies, such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, SQL, and ETL frameworks.
5. Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration concepts.
6. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly grasp complex data engineering challenges.
7. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
8. Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure, is a plus.
9. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
