Product Design Intern

About the role

At Crunchtime, we're seeking a motivated individual eager to dive into the world of Product Design specifically tailored for the food industry. As a Product Design Intern, you'll have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and contribute to exciting projects that shape the future of our tech company. During the internship program, you'll receive guidance from a mentor and will gain invaluable experience by working on design challenges for renowned brands such as McDonald's, KFC, and Popeyes. This role is designed for someone who is passionate about honing their skills and gaining hands-on experience in solving design challenges for huge brands in the food industry.

What you’ll do as a Product Design Intern

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Designers, Product Managers, and Engineers, to bring ideas to life. 
• Partner with senior designers to improve your craft, process, and deepen your understanding of Design Thinking.
• Produce a variety of UX artifacts such as storyboards, journey maps, wireframes, or prototypes to help you maximize the impact of your solutions and build your portfolio with in-depth case studies.
• Take on small yet meaningful design projects and see them through from start to finish.
• Contribute to research activities and learn to make data-informed decisions.
• Assist in the maintenance of the Design System to ensure design consistency across all products. 
• Learn to clearly articulate and communicate your design decisions to your team and stakeholders. 

What we're looking for

• Enthusiasm for product design and a desire to learn and grow in the field.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail and a creative mindset to solve complex design challenges.
• Available to work 20-40 hrs a week, with core hours from 11am-3pm Eastern.
• Ability to work in a hybrid work setting, with 2-3 days per week in-office.
• Curiosity about users and the ability to empathize with them during the design process.
• Capability to work independently while maintaining a strong commitment to contributing to the team's success.
