About the Role:

CrowdStrike is looking for a Senior UI Automation Engineer with a passion for quality specializing in Web UI test automation and that has strong manual testing skills. We’re looking for smart people who want to be challenged to take ownership of what they build and work in an environment where quality is the company culture. As a UI Automation Engineer, you will be working closely with UI Engineers, UI Test Framework Engineers, and other UI Automation Engineers to ensure optimal testing and release of the highest quality product. CrowdStrike values quality and a great customer experience. We are looking for meticulous Engineers with a strong testing focus and background, who focus on the customer experience, and that can bring insights throughout the development process.

UI Automation Engineers (UI AE) at CrowdStrike may be required to help build frameworks, libraries, and tooling used for testing our UI. UI AE will be responsible for creating automated UI test suites for our Falcon product. All our UI AEs will help drive innovation, inspiration, and the future of product testing. This role will be in the Falcon Cloud Security (FCS) product area for CrowdStrike. We’re extending CrowdStrike’s mission of “stopping breaches” into the public cloud and cloud-native workloads. CrowdStrike’s FCS Cloud Security Posture Management offering provides visibility into your entire cloud infrastructure, continuous monitoring for misconfigurations, and proactive threat detection — allowing DevSecOps teams to fix issues faster and be more productive. 

What You'll Do:

  • Thinking strategically about test planning and execution for automation and manual tests to ensure quality in your team and across the organization.

  • Verifying component, integration and application level features and functionality to ensure our reliability, accuracy and performance reaches our standards for quality.

  • Execute manual test cases for end-to-end testing scenarios, ensuring thorough validation of the product's functionality and usability.

  • Develop and maintain automated test frameworks, scripts, and tools that are reusable and scalable, focusing on end-to-end testing and product performance.

  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of a scalable and efficient UI automated testing framework

  • Building elegant, robust, and reliable solutions for complex technical problems.

  • Reviewing UX Design mock ups, documents and requirements to understand the feature’s components, details, design, and functionality.

  • Reviewing engineering technical design documents and requirements. Working with Engineering to create plans and strategies about how and where to build in testability.

  • Building reliable and easily consumed tools, frameworks, and environments for yourself and peers to build upon.

  • Contributing to existing tools, frameworks and related solutions

  • Increasing and improving our automated test coverage.

  • Delivering and accepting feedback with grace and courtesy.

  • Collaborating with UI Engineering on determining the root cause of issues and adding automation quality improvements to prevent future problems.

  • Take ownership and be accountable for deliverables.

What You’ll Need:

  • A computer science background or equivalent experience (programming styles, data structures, algorithms, etc.) with at least 10 years of experience.

  • Extensive experience with testing tools and best practices (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber)

  • Proven track record of designing and implementing test automation for large-scale systems and experienced in developing and enhancing test automation frameworks

  • Solid grounding in the technology of at least one cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Demonstrated ability to write high-quality code, with JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python being particularly useful.

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)

  • In-depth knowledge of various testing methodologies: behavior, functional, performance, unit, security, contract, etc.

  • Demonstrated ability to design and develop efficient test strategies and test plans

  • Demonstrated ability to develop automated test cases, increased test coverage, reduced test time.

  • Team player – demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, communicate, collaborate, and work effectively in a globally distributed team.

  • Experience writing and executing test plans

  • Experience documenting technical requirements

  • Knowledge of classes and testing methodologies


Bonus Points:

  • Experience in Jenkins, Windows Performance Analyzer or xperf

  • Proficiency in using test management tools (e.g., TestRail/Xray) and defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira).

  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform and Azure Templates.

  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Experience in enterprise SaaS products

  • Knowledge of and experience in cybersecurity or productivity apps

The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $135,000 - $210,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits.
