We are seeking an experienced Capital Markets Technology professional to support front‑office technology initiatives across broker dealers and full‑service investment banks. This role will serve as a subject matter expert across trading systems, data, and integration initiatives, partnering closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and executive leadership to deliver complex technology implementations and process improvements across the trade lifecycle.

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on front‑office trading technology, including Order Management Systems (OMS), Execution Systems, and Settlement platforms.
  • Support and lead technology implementation and delivery efforts, from requirements gathering through testing and go‑live.
  • Analyze and optimize front‑to‑back trading and operations workflows across Equities, Fixed Income, and Derivatives.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to document current‑state processes, define target‑state solutions, and drive process improvement initiatives.
  • Support system‑to‑system integrations, including connectivity between front‑office, middle‑office, and downstream platforms.
  • Leverage and support FIX protocol–based integrations for trading and execution workflows.
  • Collaborate closely with developers (frontend, backend, and full‑stack) to translate business and functional requirements into technical deliverables.
  • Work alongside technology and data architects to align solutions with enterprise architecture and data standards.
  • Contribute to data governance initiatives, including data lineage, quality, and controls across relational database environments.
  • Utilize technology delivery and project management tools (JIRA, Zephyr, GitLab, Confluence) to manage backlogs, testing, and documentation.
  • Participate in and support projects delivered using Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Engage with and present to executive leadership within Financial Services, providing clear status updates, risks, and recommendations.
  • Support compliance‑driven initiatives, including familiarity with security and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX)Contribute to developing and implementing firm-approved, AI-enabled solutions for clients, in accordance with company policies on data protection, intellectual property, and professional standards.
  • Stay informed about emerging AI tools and techniques and collaborate with firm leadership to identify compliant opportunities to enhance client solutions and internal processes.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 5+ years experience working within Broker Dealers and/or Full‑Service Investment Banks, supporting front‑office and trading‑related technology initiatives.
  • Strong subject matter expertise in front‑office trading technology, including Order Management Systems (OMS), Execution Systems, and Settlement platforms.
  • Working knowledge of front‑to‑back trading and operations workflows across Equities, Fixed Income, and Derivatives.
  • Proven experience delivering technology implementations, enhancements, or platform integrations within complex financial services environments.
  • Experience supporting or partnering on data governance initiatives, including data quality, lineage, and controls within relational database (RDBMS) environments.
  • Familiarity with FIX Protocol and its use in electronic trading, execution, and downstream integrations.
  • Hands‑on experience with system‑to‑system integrations, including coordination across front‑office, middle‑office, and post‑trade platforms.
  • Proficiency with technology and delivery management tools, including JIRA, Zephyr, GitLab, and Confluence.
  • Working knowledge of software development and delivery methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid frameworks.
  • Experience conducting process analysis, creating clear documentation, and driving continuous process improvement.
  • Familiarity with security, risk, and regulatory requirements within financial services (e.g., SOX compliance).
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with software developers (frontend, backend, and full‑stack) to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Comfort with AI: Demonstrated ability to responsibly explore and adopt firm-approved AI tools to enhance productivity and innovation.
  • Continuous Learning Mindset: Openness to learning and applying emerging technologies including AI and automation in alignment with firm policies and client standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, or related field; CFA/CPA and MBA preferred

For applicants located in New York, CrossCountry Consulting is required to include an estimate of the compensation range for this role. The following range takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to, skills, experience, education, licenses, certifications, business needs, and internal equity. An estimate of the current range is $107,000 - $236,000 per year + annual bonus + additional benefits.
