Join the Team Driving Operational Excellence! Are you passionate about leveraging advanced analytics to solve complex problems? At Cox Communications, we’re seeking a Senior Lead Data Scientist to revolutionize our Service

Reliability operations. As a core member of our Service Reliability team, you’ll design and implement cutting-edge analytical solutions in the cloud to support our Network Operations Center and Enterprise Mission Control. This hands-on role focuses on reducing operational transactions while driving efficiency and innovation.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Architect Solutions: Develop frameworks in AWS to transition analytics from data science to operational teams, ensuring scalability and efficiency.

• Optimize Processes: Collaborate with technical partners to create a data stack that delivers actionable insights for optimizing Network Operations Center and Enterprise Mission Control operations.

• Analyze & Visualize: Design complex database queries and engaging dashboards to identify operational gaps and provide data-driven recommendations. • Define Best Practices: Lead discussions on data engineering best practices, emphasizing data availability, computational efficiency, and quality.

• Deliver Impact: Conduct user acceptance testing, business validation, and QA for data pipeline projects and analytical tools like AWS Athena and Tableau.

• Mentor & Innovate: Lead and mentor the data engineering team while maintaining relationships with industry experts to define and implement best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 8 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 6years’ experience; a Ph.D. and 3 years’ experience in a related field; or 20 years’ experience in a related field

• Proven expertise in programming languages/tools like Python (pandas, numpy, scikitlearn), SQL, PySpark, and data visualization tools like Tableau.

• Exceptional ability to interpret complex data and communicate insights to technical and non-technical audiences.

• Strong problem-solving skills, business acumen, and organizational empathy to foster collaboration across teams.

• Ability to work independently with ambiguous datasets while delivering results that drive business strategy.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Industry experience in telecommunications, cable, or consulting.

• Advanced skills in AWS tools, real-time application development, and data visualization platforms.

• Expertise in Agile methodologies and SDLC collaboration tools like GIT
