Senior Engineering Manager, Mobile

Course Hero is scaling! We are seeking a talented Senior Engineering Manager to lead our Mobile App team. Engineering management is a multi-dimensional role at Course Hero, combining leadership, technical insight, product design thinking, and, above all, a desire to help others succeed. You will manage an international team of experienced mobile software engineers. Working with our product, design, and other cross-functional leaders, you will help us maximize not only productivity but also engagement.

You will manage mobile apps that deliver a cutting-edge educational experience for students everywhere and help shape how mobile will continue to be a vital aspect of the Course Hero experience. In addition to contributing to planning, you will contribute to development, with a focus on iOS.

• Provide inspirational leadership for a team of talented engineers
• Have strategic influence over business objectives and metrics, and will provide guidance on the technical requirements needed to meet them.
• Ensure that development projects have sound technical architecture and make use of appropriate technologies
• Hands-on contribution to support development

Are you our Senior Engineering Mobile Manager? 

• 5+ years of software engineering work experience, including hands-on technical management and at least 2 years developing native iOS applications
• 2+ years managing engineering/mobile development teams
• Experience recruiting and managing international technical teams.
• A track record of building high-quality native mobile applications (iOS or Android)

Bonus Points 

• Experience developing on Android
• Experience with Web Development
• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform or React Native
• A bachelor’s degree

The base pay for this position is dependent on multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed below.
