Description

Are you our dynamic SEO Data Analyst? You will use your creativity and knack for delivering data-driven insights to help us improve our site for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and drive growth by measuring testing effectiveness. You’ll leverage your broad experience exercising analytical methods: from designing A/B tests that drive high impact results to analyzing data patterns to understand every step of the SEO funnel and building insightful dashboards that lead to actionable business decisions alongside our SEO strategists.

Here are some ways you’ll make an impact:

  • Work with SEO Strategists and Data Scientists to understand SEO best practices, propose strategic ideas, and develop measurement techniques to understand impact.
  • Define and regularly monitor KPIs, success metrics, and other analytics to maximize traffic to our sites.
  • Design and evaluate A/B tests and push forward next steps at a rigorous pace.
  • Deliver reports and strategic insights through analysis and monitoring of the entire SEO funnel (discovery, crawl, indexation, ranking, traffic)
  • Discover and validate key performance metrics, for ourselves and competitors.
  • Effectively communicate findings to internal and external team members.
  • Develop experimentation strategies utilizing our primary coursehero.com domain and our other domains.
  • Build reusable analysis tools for sample sizing and post-test analysis.

Are you our Senior Data Analyst, SEO? 

  • 5+ years of experience conducting quantitative product analyses for high tech companies
  • Bachelor or higher degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Math/Applied Math, Data Science, Computer Science, Physics, or Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with experimentation, including design, implementation, and methodologies (e.g. hypothesis testing and regression analysis) for analyzing and interpreting results to stakeholders
  • Highly proficient with SQL and visualization tools (e.g. Tableau/Looker/Quicksight)
  • Experienced in working with ETL tools such as Airflow or Databricks
  • Python programming skills for data analysis
  • Understands end-to-end user journeys for web platforms and the challenges of managing user funnels that have multiple attribution touchpoints
  • Understanding of attribution business methodologies and user tracking technologies
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral. Able to clearly articulate analytics ideas, strategies, and tactics to audiences with varying domain knowledge.
  • Comfortable functioning in spaces with high ambiguity and adapt easily in changing environments.
  • We require a minimum overlap of 2.5 hours/day for 4 days per week with business hours from 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM PST.

Bonus Points 

  • Experience with SEO at a large tech company with millions of pages.
  • Experience in B2C website companies in a fast pace environment (multiple tests running weekly)
  • Built reusable packages in python for A/B test setup and analysis.
  • Masters or higher degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Math/Applied Math, Data Science, Computer Science, Physics, or Engineering
