Coupang Eats is a new yet fast catering service by Coupang where we deliver quality food and beverages from restaurants and cafes to your door. We build the Customer app, Store app, Courier app, and endeavor to provide a fast and seamless delivery Customer experience for all three parties involved.
Who We Are
As part of a product engineering organization, the Eats data science team closely interacts with business and involves in the end-to-end process in the identification of problems and opportunities, design data science models, develop computational algorithms, and implement reliable and effective systems.
The data science team are currently involved in the systematic design of eats pricing systems, deliver optimization, as well as various estimation of arrivals of customer orders and employee variety of models and tools such as machine learning techniques, simulation techniques, optimization techniques and statistical analysis, to elegantly and effectively solve business problems and increase Eats bottom lines. We strive to be the best in the industry in the solution of problems with data science experts around the globe.
Qualifications:
- Masters or PhDs in Statistics, Operations Research, CS or a quantitative discipline.
- 3+ years of work experience in application of machine learning/deep learning techniques to solve (3 years if you have a Ph.D. degree)
- Practical business problems. 5+ years of professional experience in such areas is preferred.
- Programming experience using Python/R to manipulate data, develop algorithms/models, and draw insights from large data sets.
- Proficiency with SQL.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn new techniques and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
- Good communication skills in English, written and verbal; ability to present data and its implications in a clear and concise manner.

Document Return Policy
- This notification is given pursuant to Article 11 (6) of the Fair Hiring Procedure Act.

- In preparation for a job applicant’s request for the return of hiring documents pursuant to the main sentence of paragraph 2 above, the Company shall retain the original hiring documents submitted by the job applicant for 180 days from the completion of the recruiting process. If no request is made until the end of this period, all his/her hiring documents will be destroyed immediately in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act.
- Hiring may be restricted in case the legal qualifications required for hiring and work performance is not met.
