Staff Front-end Engineer
Team Introduction
This position will be a front-end developer in the Coupang Ads organization, developing and designing new features for the Coupang Ads platform. Coupang is investing in building a world-class advertising business, operating relevant ads on key accounts on Coupang’s website and mobile apps. The Coupang Ads organization is developing next-generation products and services to further grow Coupang’s advertising solutions by providing self-service ad operation capabilities to Coupang’s sellers and suppliers.
The Ads Creative & Integrity team is developing a platform to optimize the user experience of Coupang's advertising widgets.
It is a platform that can be easily applied to various UIs within Coupang as well as advertisements through technology that provides dynamic UI configurations that are easy to change and easy experiment setup functions.
At the same time, we are developing a fraud detection system to ensure the integrity of the events of exposed advertisements.

Job Description
- Interpret business desired outcomes into technical solutions to meet operational and business needs
- Perform coding, testing, and debugging of application systems and maintain source code control systems and application software versioning
- Provide solutions to the organization and improve value propositions and efficiency across the platform
- Research and understand new technologies, techniques, and industry trends, and provide solutions to the organization and improve value propositions and efficiency across the platform
- Define requirements, processes, and procedures for development, improvement, and testing projects
- Collaborate with planners, data analysts, and UX designers to develop new services
- Have the knowledge and ability to train and mentor other engineers
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in a related field of Computer Science/Engineering
- 7+ years of experience developing and designing front-end, large-scale operational systems with fault tolerance and monitoring capabilities
- Proficient in WebKit, HTML5, CSS3, Javascript (one or more of node.js, react,js, or express.js, Next.js), Typescript, SSR development, Cross Platform FE developments.
- RESTful, GraphQL, and Expertise in designing and developing microservice architecture
- Experience in developing user services using JS frameworks such as React
- Experience in using general front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, and NPM
- Excellent knowledge of usability, Lean UX design, conceptual modeling, and trends
- Ability to clearly understand business requirements and implement them
- Experience in unit/user testing and iterative design/interaction design
Preferred
- Experience in advertising and e-commerce domains
- Experience contributing to Javascript open source or developing a common SDK
- High understanding of database systems, data warehousing concepts
- Experience in highly scalable cloud-based software and deployment
- Proficient in web service/API design
- Experience in agile software development
- Experience in microservice architecture
- Experience in Amazon Web Services, distributed systems, service-based/message-based architecture
- SQL, NoSQL, Kafka, Redis, Hive, Hadoop, Spark
- Experience in client global state management(like Context API, Redux, Recoil, Tanstack-Query etc.)
- Experience in monitoring and improving the performance of javascript applications
