We are seeking an accomplished Software Engineer II to join our team in building the software tools that power our proprietary CRM platform and support our sales team across Homes.com, Costar.com, Apartments.com, LoopNet.com, and more.

This position is located in our Richmond, VA office and is 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high performance applications.
• Promote consistent architecture patterns for design and development.
• Craft elegant and extensible solutions using modern frameworks and technologies.
• Collaborate closely with other Software Engineers across the organization.
• Continually evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities, trends, and best practices that can be leveraged to strengthen CoStar’s technology platform and development practices.
• Take an active role in mentoring other developers.

Qualifications                                                              

• Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited, not for profit university or college
• Experience in architecting, designing and building web applications in an agile environment.
• Experience in unit, performance and automation testing
• 3+ years of experience with .NET and Database Technologies (SQL Server, Dynamo, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS S3, Lambda, SQS, Kafka, Redis a plus.

• Experience with Docker and container orchestration a plus.
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue, Angular)

• Experience building high-performance REST APIs
