Corelight, Inc is seeking a skilled, experienced Director of Sales Engineering to manage a diverse team of Sales Engineers who promote, sell, and create customer satisfaction with the company’s products. You will provide guidance and a roadmap to success regarding the implementation of our products. This will include presentations, product demonstrations, assessment of potential application of Corelight solutions, and the development of account plans.
Your Role and Responsibilities
- Recruit and hire new systems engineers into the territory, help educate them on providing technical expertise through Sales presentations, Solution designs, Solution demonstrations, and Proof of Concepts.
- Manage the Sales Engineering team. Set objectives, measure performance, and reward productivity in the SE team
- Provide effective technical leadership in customer meetings – sharing security trends, competitive, and product information
- Fill in for absent SE's as needed
- Lead employees to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment
- Act as an escalation point for pre-sales technical issues from the field
- Work with the sales teams to strategize on best sales approach for the business
- Maintain knowledge of competitive landscape and share with the team
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Prior management experience
- Expert written and oral communication skills
- Expert presentation skills including technical material
- Network design background and/or security software background preferred
- Experience with Linux, Windows, HTTP
- Experience with Network protocols and/or IDS/IPS is an advantage
- Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Qualifications:
- 10+ years related industry experience
- 4+ years pre-sales experience
- BS/BA or equivalent work experience
- Expect 50% travel
