Senior Electrical Engineer

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly hands-on electrical engineer to work on Coram's next-generation product lines. This role involves leading products from inception to mass production. The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping hardware-based products at medium to large scale, as well as strong expertise in PCB design and testing of low-power circuits. This role is based on-site in Sunnyvale, CA.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end electrical design, PCB layout, and board production.
• Conduct rapid design iterations and guide the product through EVT, DVT, and PVT stages.
• Source and collaborate with CM or JDM partners (based in Asia) to achieve mass production.
• Work closely with firmware and mechanical engineers to ensure the product meets all requirements.
• Proactively travel to Asia (as needed) to oversee assembly line setup and ensure high-yield production. 
• Take the product through certifications such as FCC and UL standards.

Skills and Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering and PCB design
• Expertise in low-voltage electronics
• Expertise with Layer 4 or higher PCB design
• Experience designing product manufactured at reasonable scale (>100 units) in one of the areas:

  • IoT
  • Network devices
  • Sensors
• Ability to work hard and take end-to-end responsibility in a fast-moving startup
