Front End Developer

As a Front-End Developer, you will be part of a successful global organization widely recognized as a world expert in the delivery of high-quality software solutions to the publishing sector. 

Experience in back-end Java programming is desirable, although the primary requirement is for front-end expertise.

We are looking for individuals with a proven track record in the development of business critical applications to defined timescales. The role offers great scope to learn new technologies and provides the opportunity to work with renowned organizations.

What you will be doing: 

• Working within an Agile project environment to develop, design, and build applications in a web/internet delivery environment, including custom module design and systematic approaches to application integration.
• Assigned to perform hands-on coding and site-building. We are specifically looking for a developer as part of an on-going project involving one of our global publishing and corporate clients.

Requirements 

• Degree-level qualification in Computer Science or a related discipline
• Proficient knowledge of TypeScript and JavaScript (ES5, ES6, ES6+) and experience with JavaScript libraries / frameworks (preferably Ember, but also Angular, React or Vue)
• Excellent knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3 Knowledge and package managers (NPM, Yarn, etc.)
• Experience with SASS or LESS, unit, integration and functional testing and with versioning systems (preferably Git)
• Knowledge and commercial experience in Java and good understanding of OOP and design patterns and SOLID principles.
• Ability to work in distributed teams and excellent written and verbal communication skills
• It would be desirable to have Experience with build tools such as Grunt or Gulp, an understanding of UX principles, including wireframing , Knowledge and commercial experience of Java EE and Spring framework 
• 5+ years commercial experience of developing web applications will also be taken into account.
