The Division: Lean Industries develops and delivers comprehensive enterprise software solutions designed to lower the costs and improve the quality of managing consumer and fraud disputes, exceptions and adjustments for electronic payment transactions. A highly configurable workflow-based solution, the software can be installed on premises at large financial institutions, merchant acquiring companies or offered as a hosted/SaaS solution provided by Lean.

The Position:
As a Software Developer at Lean, you will work as a full-stack engineer contributing to both legacy and nextgeneration platforms. You will develop highquality software using Java/JEE, Kotlin, React, Spring, and modern DevOps and AI-assisted capabilities. You will also participate in new initiatives involving microservices, frontend modernization, and opportunities to integrate AI tools into development workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, enhance, and maintain core Lean applications including AdjustmentHub and NetworkHub.
Work across full-stack components—server-side Java/JEE, Kotlin-based services, and React front-end applications.
Build and consume RESTful and SOAP services using JAX-RS, JAXWS, and Spring frameworks.
Implement new features using the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security).
Contribute to UI development using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
Participate in containerization, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, Docker, and Bamboo/Bitbucket-based workflows.
Collaborate in Agile environments and work closely with cross-functional teams on design, code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance improvements.
Apply and validate AI-assisted development workflows, code analysis, and recommendations in alignment with internal practices.
Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of relevant experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Java 8+, Java/JEE, multithreading, File I/O, and enterprisegrade backend systems.
Experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, JSON/XML, and secure API development.
Working knowledge of Kotlin for backend or fullstack development projects.
Front-end development using React, JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern UI frameworks.
Database experience with SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL and strong query development abilities.
Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Git/BitBucket, Bamboo, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, etc.
Understanding of distributed systems, security patterns, and cloud-hosted environments (AWS/Azure).
Nice-to-Have
Experience with JSF/PrimeFaces or legacy UI frameworks.
Familiarity with AI/ML tooling, automated code reasoning systems, or integrating AI into CI/CD or code review flows.
Knowledge of financial systems, payment networks, or dispute management workflows.
