The Division: 

Volanté is an Enterprise Point-of-Sale company that prides itself on developing leading-edge hospitality technology. What began as a three-person basement project that has developed into an industry-leading POS system with a team of over 100 employees in its Toronto, Ontario-based office. Volanté’s point of sale software has evolved based on customer requests and requirements, and has continuously demonstrated its ability to be flexible, scalable, and reliable in diverse environments.

The Position:

We are looking for an innovative individual for the role of Senior SQA Analyst with a passion for delivering high quality software and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.  

The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks including performance testing, and perform both manual and automation testing, especially during regression cycles, using advanced testing techniques to ensure product quality.  

The successful hire will be located and work out of the Contour Software Karachi/Lahore/Islamabad office, working as part of the resource-center team, as an extension of the division-based R&D department. 

Responsibilities:

• Focus on building a performance testing architecture & performance testing the cloud based microservices and Point of Sale application. 

• Perform both manual and automation testing, especially during regression cycles, using advanced testing techniques to ensure product quality. 

• Test and try to break the next generation Volanté product that runs on the latest technologies using advanced testing techniques.  

• Execute test cases manually and using automation scripts with continuous integration tools such as TeamCity, Xray and analyze test results.  

• Set up and manage Kubernetes clusters for local performance testing environments. 

• Apply knowledge gained in computer science courses to real-world problems. 

• Attend Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, refinement, planning, and retrospective sessions. 

• Have an exploratory mindset while testing and work with other teams to resolve them. 

• For the first 2 months the hire individual will provide overlap till 5pm EST (PKT 2:00 AM) 

Required Qualifications & Skills: 

• Completed a degree or Master’s program in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar streams. 

• 8–12+ years of experience in software performance testing and performance engineering, with at least 4–6 years in a senior or architectural role

• Proven experience designing and owning a code-based performance testing framework for Java microservices, integrating workload modeling, test data strategy, and release readiness quality gates.
• Solid experience with performance testing tools such as Gatling (Scala/Java) or k6 (JS) or JMeter (Java), and openness to exploring other tools that align with team-wide use and infrastructure. 
• Hands-on experience integrating performance testing into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar).
• Good understanding of cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong foundation in manual testing and proficiency in Java, with the ability to quickly adapt to existing automation framework. 
• Good hands-on with API automation especially with Rest Assured.  
• Good programming skills (Java, C, C++, JavaScript, or similar) and OOPS concepts. 
• Experience with data structures or algorithms gathered from inside or outside of school or work. 
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into actionable recommendations for engineering, DevOps, and product stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems.
