Job Description
Integrating the Manufacturing Engineering Department, as an Automation Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Optimizing and adapting the control technology of machines and systems to best meet process, quality, and safety requirements.
- Providing technical support to the curative maintenance teams
- Providing support to IT for MES (Manufacturing Execution System) software rollouts
- Ensuring the compliance of the shopfloor machines with the Continental cybersecurity policies
Qualifications
- University degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Mechatronics or similar.
- Previous experience in similar role (min. 1 year) with Project Management responsibilities (preferably)
- Knowledge in automation programming (Beckhoff / Siemens) and field bus.
- Knowledge of PLC programming and Safety PLC programming.
- Knowledge of Scada systems.
- Knowledge in frequency converters and motion control.
- Knowledge in the robotics field (ABB, KuKa).
- Knowledge in AI, Machine learning and Vision systems will be appreciated.
- Team player with leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent or Native in Portuguese Language (mandatory).
- Strong English skills, written and spoken (B2).
