Solution Architect - Technology Platform Partnerships

About the opportunity

As a Solution Architect - Technology Platform Partnerships you will collaborate with our technology platform partners including SAP, Shopify and commercetools (to start) to build integrations, reference architectures, and supporting documentation to connect Contentful with their products.

Additionally, you will work with our internal product teams as appropriate to bring these integrations to market, enable Field teams to demo them to customers and inform the development of supporting Professional Services offerings and Learning Center courses.

As a Solution Architect at Contentful, you’ll have the opportunity to work with teams around the world from visionary brands and innovative digital agencies. Your technical guidance, strategic advice and product expertise will ensure our technical partner integrations follow best practices and optimally support our joint customers. 

What to expect

• Develop reference architectures and best practices for integrations between Contentful and technology platform partners including SAP, Shopify and commercetools
• Build example integrations and starter kits for our customers and solution partners to help accelerate their implementations
• Collaborate with technology platform partners, Contentful product teams and/or solution partners as appropriate to build integrations using the Contentful App Framework and release them to the Contentful Marketplace for example
• Create compelling demos showcasing these integrations
• Provide training and enablement regarding the integrations to both pre-sales and post-sales teams, including assisting with proof-of-concept builds for prospects and customers
• Contribute to developing end-to-end solutions leveraging Contentful Studio,  Contentful Platform, and technology platform partner products
• Collaborate with external partners and third-party vendors as needed to support project requirements
• Assist in similar tasks with other technology platform partners in the future (e.g., Salesforce)
• Provide thought leadership regarding best practices for composable commerce/portal (B2B and B2C) solutions

What you need to be successful

• Minimum 5+ years proven experience as a Solution Architect or Engineer, preferably in a customer and partner-facing role
• 2+ years working with SAP, Composable Storefront/Spartacus, Smartedit, and related SAP commerce cloud technologies. Any SAP certification or experience in SAP’s ERP, CDP and personalization tools will be an added advantage
• Experience working with other commerce platforms like Shopify and commercetools will be beneficial
• Experience working with front-ends including Next.js, SAP Composable Storefront and Shopify Hydrogen
• Experience working with cloud providers including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with B2C and B2B markets
• Experience working with Contentful or other API-first composable content systems
• Experience working with content personalization, experimentation and analytics tools
• Proven experience with current web technologies (React or other JavaScript frameworks, REST and GraphQL APIs, CDNs, etc.) 
• Strong understanding of integration technologies and methodologies
• Proficiency in building demos and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences, and the ability to adjust depending on audience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to travel occasionally for meetings, conferences, and events
• Authorization to work in the United States

This role will need to be conducted in a state in which we are currently registered to do business. 

Colorado Salary Statement: The salary range displayed is specifically for those potential hires who will work or reside in the state of Colorado if selected for the role. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example.

Colorado Salary Range: $150,000 - $160,500
