About the Role:

As a full-stack video producer at Confluent, you will be at the forefront of creative development and production, crafting technical videos that inform and captivate the imaginations of potential users of Confluent's Data Streaming Platform. In this role, you'll engage in cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders from Developer Relations (DevRel), Marketing, and other departments, ensuring a cohesive and impactful message across all channels.

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Developer Relations, your responsibility will be to propel projects to completion, skillfully incorporate feedback, and champion the most impactful ideas that align with both the team's objectives and the broader organizational goals. With a flexible work arrangement that allows you to split your time between remote work and occasional shoots at our Mountain View Headquarters, you will play a pivotal role in helping the Developer Relations team achieve its mission to elevate the profiles of Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, and Confluent within the developer community.

What You Will Do:

• Develop a video content strategy and budget for Confluent’s Developer Relations team, with cross-platform video distribution and organic discovery in mind.
• Spearhead creative and original ideas for video projects that will resonate specifically with technical people who are potential users of the Data Streaming Platform components.
• Manage and execute all senior-level video and podcast production aspects, including creative development, shoot planning, directing, filming, lighting, sound, and editing.
• Hiring and managing video crews and freelancers as needed.
• Collaborating with stakeholders in the executive, marketing, PR, product, and other departments.

What You Will Bring:

• 10+ years of experience producing, directing, shooting, and editing professional video content and podcasts.
• 10+ years experience in post-production with Adobe Premiere and DaVinci Resolve.
• A track record of creating compelling, informative, and inspiring video content that resonates with technical audiences.
• The ability to inspire and motivate team members and contractors to do their best work.

What Gives You an Edge:

• 5+ years of relevant experience at software platform companies.

We analyze and carefully consider several factors when determining compensation, including work history, education, professional experience, and location. This position has an annual estimated salary of $232,800 - $279,360, an annual bonus, and a competitive equity package.
