About the Role:

The Monetization Platform team sits at the heart of Confluentâs business strategy, enabling the company to grow by monetizing products and features across Confluent Cloud - a fully managed multi-cloud solution. Our mission is to build a flexible, accurate, performant, and robust monetization platform responsible for supporting flexible pricing and payments,  on-demand bill generation, etc. allowing Confluent to define and sell products globally.

In this role, you will build accurate, reliable, scalable, and functionally rich systems in the cloud to support usage-based billing and pricing in the cloud that powers Confluentâs revenue across all products and global markets. You will get an opportunity to work on business-critical flows from ideation to completion by closely collaborating with Product Managers, different engineering and business teams.

What You Will Do:

• Develop distributed data streams and intuitive data flow for client-side web applications
• Create new visualizations and interfaces that can scale with Confluent Cloud
• Collaborate with backend software engineers to ensure user experience is not compromised by performance constraints of backend APIs
• Work with designers to understand and implement component styling and interactions based on UI wireframes
• Collaborate with product managers to build a seamless user experience
• Create and execute test plans, obtaining stakeholder sign-off upon completion of development and testing
• Write, monitor, and manage large-scale system deployments
• Manage releases and ensure changes are verified through manual or automated testing
• Participate in the code review process to ensure code quality
• Develop tools to improve day-to-day workflows

What You Will Bring:

• At least 3+ year of professional experience
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or similar field or equivalent
• Experience building client-side web applications for data-intensive applications
• Excellent understanding of modern JavaScript, typing in JS, HTML5, and CSS
• Experience with React/Flux (or equivalent), modern JavaScript tooling/Webpack/Babel
• Strong foundation in algorithms and application design
• Experience with writing/monitoring/managing large scale system deployments
