Platform Engineering is a remote first distributed team that is powering CI/CD platforms, Developer platforms (IDP), a huge array of kubernetes backed microservices, data lakes and other infrastructure in AWS and physical datacenters to help Conductor build elegant, efficient, and customer focused solutions. We are solving some of the hardest problems in MarTech and on the cutting edge of scaling very large data sets for both global accessibility and lightning fast retrieval. 

To support our Platform Engineering Team, we are looking for a new:

Senior DevOps Engineer (f/m/d)

(Hybrid in Berlin or remote in Germany/ Full-time/ Permanent Contract)

Your Tasks: 

  • Deploy, update, and optimize, applications to cloud and on-premise hosted environments 
  • Optimize large distributed databases ingesting multiple terabytes of data per day
  • Assess the health of systems and infrastructure to advocate for upgrades, maintenance, and changes.
  • Educate peers and development teams on best practices for developing and sustaining large data sets in ElasticSearch.
  • Ensure quality, availability, reliability, and performance of massive scale data processing SaaS environment
  • Build automations, dashboards, and best-in-class observability for a large distributed system in varied hosting environments. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the Engineering organization to integrate and optimize legacy systems and acquisitions
  • Assist the Information Security team on security initiatives, provide auditable workflows for change management, and monitor for security issues and incidents.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Completed studies in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years of professional experience working in DevOps or SRE in Cloud Environments and preferred experience in managed hosting environments 
  • Have configured CI/CD for tooling and technologies including Kubernetes and Terraform 
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly articulate your work to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
