This role will work within an Agile environment to develop and support applications across the Computershare portfolio.  This role will lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain. This role will work within cross-functional teams, this role requires strong technical skills, curiosity, a passion for delivering quality solutions and the drive to continually improve the quality and speed with which we deliver value to the business.  This role will resolve moderately complex issues ad lead a team to meet existing client needs and/or potential clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of function, policies, procedures or compliance requirements.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Implements and continually improves the automation framework and architecture.
• Writes and develops automation scripts on both Selenium Follows the Agile process fully
• Works with the delivery teams to deliver test automation targets and helps to create solutions to include automated non-functional as well as functional tests.
• Maintains a good awareness of business strategy, new products, platforms, tools and technologies and keep abreast of the technical strategy of our suppliers.
• Uses and leverages emerging technologies/practices such as Microsoft CoPilot, and propose improvements and inject new ideas whilst making the most of re-use and simplicity in solutions. 
• Give project demos and ensures that test cases are always updated and current

What will you bring to the role?  

The Senior Automation Quality Engineer is responsible for the test automation architecture and framework, providing technical direction to teams to ensure that automated test solutions are successful in improving quality and testing efficiencies.  The role works with Solution and Business Architects and with development teams, infrastructure providers, enterprise architects and subject matter experts. Responsibility starts from early engagement, the Senior Automation Quality Engineer elaborates testing requirements, encourages innovation, drives the test automation strategy and ensures that solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements and conform to Computershare's architectural and security standards. Provides technical guidance, supporting the up-lift of test automation capabilities in the scrum teams through education and mentoring. Liaises heavily with the wider development and quality community and participates in defining and implementing technical strategies.  

• 4-6 Years of experience in delivering scalable and maintainable test automation frameworks and solutions.
• Proven experience of various test automation BDD frameworks such as SpecFlow/Cucumber and relating specialist tooling, such as Selenium WebDriver.
• In-depth knowledge and solid working experience of both scripting and OO programming languages (JAVA, Selenium, Spring Boot, HTML, JavaScript)
• Hands on experience in Playwright.
• Should have worked on modern UI page automation scripts
• Proven experience of database integration and development (SQL)
• Experience of resolving issues arising from test scripts (in manual and automated form)
• Strong hands-on use of Test, CI and development tools (e.g. Selenium JAVA Coded UI, Appium with WinAppDriver, LoadRunner, RPT, JMeter, Jenkins, Wireshark, SOAP UI, Eclipse, Grafana).

• Wide experience of Agile methodologies, e.g. SCRUM, Lean, Kanban etc.

   

• Excellent analytical skills of test tool and AUT output derived during testing.
• Experience of financial services, mortgage servicing, share registry or employee share plan industries is desirable.
• Aware of external trends and emerging technologies and embrace a culture of continuous improvement to process and product development.Experience with CI/CD, good working knowledge of using a CI system (Preferably Azure DevOps)
• Experience in managing automation suite for Web/mobile apps and API Layer testing.
