Full Stack .Net Developer
Location: Toronto, Canada; Hybrid
Location: Toronto, Beaver Creek (Hybrid)
In this position, you’ll be based in the Toronto (East Beaver Creek) office for a minimum of three days a week, with the flexibility to work from home for some of your working week. A role you will love
Reporting to the Development Manager, the Software Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, supporting, and enhancing enterprise applications and integrations. This role requires strong technical expertise in .NET development, SQL, and modern software engineering practices, along with the ability to work across multiple technologies and platforms.
The successful candidate will work closely with business and technical teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality solutions while supporting the ongoing evolution of our technology landscape.
Other key responsibilities include:
Application Development & Integration
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using .NET technologies, including C# and ASP.NET.
- Develop solutions utilizing MVC, WCF, SOAP/REST APIs, HTML, XML, CSS, and JSON.
- Create and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database integrations.
- Support system enhancements, maintenance activities, and application troubleshooting.
- Integrate solutions across a diverse portfolio of enterprise applications.
DevOps & Delivery
- Support source control and collaboration processes using Git and Azure DevOps.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline development and deployment automation initiatives.
- Assist with containerized application deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Support application monitoring, logging, and performance optimization activities.
- Participate in release management and deployment processes.
Architecture & Enterprise Support
- Support applications running within Windows Server environments.
- Work across two-tier, three-tier, and modern distributed architectures.
- Contribute to solutions leveraging microservices, containerization, and cloud-based platforms.
- Provide technical support for enterprise systems in production environments.
- Learn and support new technologies and business applications as required.
Security, Quality & Best Practices
- Follow secure software development practices and coding standards.
- Maintain awareness of common application security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Produce high-quality code supported by unit testing and peer reviews.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for applications and processes.
Collaboration & Communication
- Build effective relationships with stakeholders across business functions and global teams.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality outcomes.
- Contribute to a collaborative and team-oriented environment.
What will you bring to the role?
- 5+ experience as a .NET (C#) and SQL Developer.
- Experience with ASP.NET, MVC, WCF, HTML, XML, CSS, JSON, and SOAP/REST services.
- Experience supporting applications in Windows Server environments.
- Knowledge of software development best practices and secure coding principles.
- Experience developing and supporting enterprise applications.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills.
- Ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies.
- Strong time management and prioritization abilities
Nice to have
- Experience with DevOps tools and practices.
- Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, and Jenkins.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized environments.
- Exposure to Microservices architecture.
- Experience with deployment automation tools such as Octopus Deploy and DBUp.
- Experience using monitoring and logging platforms such as Splunk or Sumo Logic.
- Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps Boards, or similar collaboration tools.
- Experience supporting complex enterprise environments with multiple technologies.
