Job Title:- Senior Software Engineer

The Fraud Technology team is part of the Group Operations Technology and is accountable for the development, implementation and ongoing leadership of the Group’s Fraud technology platform.

Our platform's purpose is to support our Group’s business, Group Fraud Management Services, and their value proposition of providing world-class fraud prevention and detection to safeguard CBA and wider community.

We aim to achieve our purpose through continually delivering cutting edge technology to enable detection, response and prevention of fraud to be a safer and better bank for the community.

Impact & contribution:-

Engage with BU builder and operational teams to triage priority incidents, facilitate blameless post-mortems, and ensure permanent closure of incidents, including actioning of root causes and contributing factors.

Identify and contribute code-level changes, which drive down the operational toil and reduce the technical debt associated with the services that a team is accountable for.

Roles & Responsibilities: -

• SDLC/STLC : Strong understanding and application of software delivery lifecycle principles, including design, development, testing, deployment, support, and evaluation. 
• Mentoring: Ability to mentor and provide technical assistance to team members 

• Software Data Analysis: Proficiency with analysing business objectives and translating requirements to technical implementation components. 

• Implement Best Practice: Apply and promote industry best patterns and practices. 

• Engineering and Strategy: Contribute to the strategic engineering goals within own team and platform. 
• Software Problem Management: Lead Level 3 or above support and technical troubleshooting activity

Essential Skills:

• Absolutely hands-on programming experience of 8+ years in Java/Python/Typescript, Automation Frameworks.
• Good Knowledge in Handling API, KAFKA and MQ. Should be able to work with unix commands. Should be cloud certified and able to work with cloud solutions.
• Quality Engineering : Good experience in system integration testing, experience in UI automation.

• Programming/Software Development: Capable of designing and building programs or application features. Automation frameworks, Automated Tests meeting business objectives and requirements. 

• Experience with estimating efforts for new features
• Automation Skills: The candidate should be capable of creating automation scripts for in-sprint automation and consistently delivering test results within agreed timelines. They are expected to have strong analytical skills to understand developer code, proactively identify issues, and independently fix application problems with minimal assistance from developers.
• Industry knowledge of Banking. 
• Ab initio background is good to have. 

• Solid understanding of Linux environments; strong knowledge of shell scripting and file systems 

• Experience with data aggregation, standardization, linking, quality check mechanisms, and reporting 

• Experience with RDBMS (Oracle) and using SQL or other data integration/ETL tools. 

• Experience with source control systems (GitHub) and with CI/CD tool 
• AI concepts and knowledge

Education Qualification:

Bachelor r’s degree/master’s degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
