Job Summary

Responsible for leading response efforts during major security incidents, including serving as incident commander, coordinating cross-functional teams, and driving containment and resolution activities. Conducts advanced investigations, performs expert-level searches across security telemetry, and handles sophisticated Managed Security Requests (MSRs). Develops detailed incident reports with technical findings, root cause analysis, business impact, and recommendations for future prevention. Supports quality assurance initiatives, delivers team training, and assists with high-priority operational and strategic tasks assigned by management. Works with considerable independence and judgment in their area of expertise, ensuring the security and integrity of information systems and assets.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Leads the response efforts during major security incidents, serving as incident commander to coordinate activities across teams, manage communications, and ensure incidents are contained and resolved efficiently.

  • Develops and delivers detailed incident reports that document root cause, scope, impact, actions taken, recommendations, and outcomes, providing actionable insights for both technical teams and leadership.

  • Performs quality control audits of alert signals and analyst decisions to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability in detection and response operations.

  • Handles complex search requests requiring expert analysis across security logs, telemetry, and investigative data sources to support advanced incident response and threat investigations.

  • Performs sophisticated Managed Security Requests (MSRs) that require expert knowledge, nuanced analysis, and correlation of multiple data points to support customer and operational needs.

  • Demonstrates advanced experience with security operations technologies, including Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), and firewall platforms, and uses these tools to investigate threats, validate detections, and implement response actions.

  • Assists with tasks assigned by management, including strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and other high-priority projects that support business and security objectives.

  • Provides technical leadership and guidance during complex investigations, helping ensure effective response execution and adherence to operational standards.

  • Recommends improvements to incident response processes, alert handling procedures, and operational workflows to strengthen the effectiveness of security operations.

  • Exercises independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance involving incident response, investigations, risk mitigation, and operational decision-making.

  • Maintains regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and overtime as necessary.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Schedule / Work Set-up / Location:

  • Shifting (must be amenable with any schedule depending on business needs)

  • Hybrid Work Set-up (2x onsite, 3x WFH per week)

  • Office address is at GLAS Tower, Ortigas Pasig City

  • Must be flexible with the schedule and amenable to render overtime and work on holidays if needed
