As a member of the Entertainment Syndication Architecture team, you are instrumental in defining end to end solutions that connect the various entertainment platforms that make the Entertainment OS family of products that are operated and managed as a service. You will have an opportunity to work with cutting edge video/entertainment technologies while interfacing with top tier-1 providers around the world. In this role you will be working on the number one program at our distribution partners with the highest level of executive visibility. You will be responsible for promoting use of industry and Company technology standards. Monitors emerging technologies/technology practices for potential use within the company. Help to ensure a balance between tactical and strategic technology solutions. Considers business problems "end-to-end": including people, process, and technology, both within and outside the enterprise, as part of any design solution. Mentors and provides architectural guidelines are adhered to. Identifies and drives issues through closure.Are you passionate about digital media, entertainment, and software services? We are looking for an outstanding System Architect within the Entertainment Organization who will work closely with TPX platform architecture and CTS program delivery teams that are responsible for delivering new products and functionality to partner cable providers. Architecture initiatives range from on-boarding of new features on existing products to the onboarding of large-scale strategic services to Comcast and our partners. Who does the End To End Architect work with?
The End-to-end Architect will work closely with the Platform Architecture teams, the CTS Program Delivery teams and the CTS Operational Readiness Teams. The Ent-to-end Architect will interface with the Platform Architecture team to ensure that the family of Entertainment Platforms connect in a cohesive way such that solutions work in a multi-tenant environment. The End-to-end Architect will work with CTS program delivery teams to help interface and guide partners on what needs to be done to rollout a feature or product to their customers. The End-to-end Architect will work with the CTS Operational Readiness teams to ensure Comcast support tools are available to partners to facilitate the proper operation of the service. This position is integral to the Entertainment Organization, providing customer facing and end-to-end architectures, troubleshooting at early stages of integration and guiding platform teams and distribution partners on best practices.
What are some interesting things you will doing?
In this role, you will be responsible for defining both end-to-end solution architectures that take into consideration customer needs, internal and customer facing documentation including designs, FAQs, integration best practices that you will then use to guide partners. In this role, you will be troubleshooting complex technical problems at early integration stages and working with Engineering teams and partners to identify root cause. In this role, you will work to deliver proof of concepts that can then be extended to partners as new service offerings.

Job Description
Core Responsibilities:
- Ensures programs are envisioned, designed, developed and implemented across the enterprise to meet business needs. Interfaces with the enterprise architecture team and other functional areas to ensure that most efficient solution is designed to meet business needs.
- Ensures solutions are well engineered, operable, maintainable and delivered on schedule. Develops, documents and ensures compliance with best practices including but not limited to the following coding standards, object oriented design, platform and framework specific design concerns and human interface guidelines.
- Tracks and documents requirements for enterprise development projects and enhancements.
- Monitors current and future trends, technology and information that will positively affect organizational projects; applies and integrates emerging technological trends to new and existing systems architecture. Mentors team members in relevant technologies and implementation architecture.
- Contributes to the overall system implementation strategy for the enterprise and participates in appropriate forums, meetings, presentations etc. to meet goals.
- Gathers and understands client needs, finding key areas where technology leverage is possible to improve business processes, defines architectural approaches and develops technology proofs. Communicates technology direction.
- Monitors the project lifecycle from intake through delivery. Ensures the entire solution design is complete and consistent from the start and seeks to remove as much re-work as possible.
- Develops and communicates system/subsystem architecture. Develops clear system requirements for component subsystems.
- Contributes to and supports effort to further build intellectual property via patents.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of system design and architecture with understanding of distributed systems.
- MS Computer Science or related field with equivalent industry experience.
- Strong experience with UNIX/LINUX is required.
- Strong experience with IP delivery systems is required.
- Strong experience with AWS Cloud services is a plus.
- Experienced with Video and broadband technologies is a plus.
- Experienced in supporting business objectives in a partnered/outsourced model.
- Possesses the ability to rapidly grasp new technologies and abstractions and apply them in a meaningful way.
- Excellent communicator, able to analyze and clearly articulate complex issues and technologies understandably and engagingly.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, adaptable, proactive and willing to take ownership.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced agile environment.
- Ability to adjust to changing priorities and make quick decisions with limited information.
- Highly motivated and able to work independently and in a group.
- Able to take on problems with a minimum set of clearly defined requirements and articulate alternative solutions and approaches to solve the problem.
- Ability to travel within Europe and North America required.
