Job Summary
Responsible for leading a team of Software Development Engineers in the planning and designing of software and web applications. Manages projects from design to testing, including new programs, enhancements and modifications. Collaborates with Quality Assurance team to conduct testing. Has overall responsibility for developing/administering performance standards for organizational unit. Manages team which may include exempt and non-exempt employees. Provides subject matter guidance to employees as required. Develops processes and procedures to drive department efficiencies and assists in the development and meeting of departmental budget.Job Description

What you’ll do:
- Work as Manager for CIEC (Comcast India Engineering Center) based SAP Development (ABAP) resources taking accountability for their deliverables and quality adherence of the team
- Work with the team of architects and onsite leads for SAP development strategy, architecture, and governance of application development and engineering related activities for the CIEC
- Manage teams and work with product and other engineering teams to architect, design and evaluate different technical design options for custom development options within SAP keeping in mind SAP's clean core principles and CIEC’s best practices in mind
- Provide estimation for technical work effort when required and ensure high-quality and on-schedule deliverables.
- Design, develop, and manage complex technical project plans for project and support operations.
- Take a lead role in maintaining and enforcing ABAP naming, coding and development standards, and providing architecture and design guidance to the development team keeping in mind SAP's Clean Core principles utilizing tools like ATC (ABAP Test Cockpit), CCM (Custom Code Management) and others.
- Serve as CIEC Lead and manage SAP SOH to S/4 HANA migration of NBCU's custom codebase.
- Work closely with Product Teams, Change Management, Testing and other Engineering teams like BASIS and BTP Integration to identify opportunities for improvements or cost savings.
- Mentor and train Application development and other engineering team members to perform daily duties.
- Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Education focus degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering or related discipline with an information technology focus, or an equivalent combination of education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Experience as an Architect/Senior consultant with ABAP engineering (development) experience including 4-5 years as a Team Lead and 1-2 years as a people manager. Knowledge in various SAP modules and Integration development working on large-scale SAP S/4 transformations
- Experience in transformation projects e.g., from SAP ECC to S/4 HANA (S/4 Conversions, green field, brown field, blue field etc.)
ECC Development Experience
- Confirmed ability using BADI’s, BAPI’s, LSMW, ALE, RFC calls, IDOC, BDC, business objects, classes and methods, Adobe Forms, SmartForms, SAPScripts, Data Dictionary, ALV
- ABAP debugging skills, workflow experience
S/4 HANA Development Experience
- Knowledge of OData services using CDS and AMDP, Workflow experience, including support and debugging
- Knowledge and awareness of SAP Clean Core principles including use of released API's, in app extensibility options and key user extensibility
- Knowledge of 3-Tier extensibility model and SAP RAP and CAP Programming Models
- Experience in migrating custom code base from ECC or SOH systems onto a S/4 HANA platform applying both Technical remediation and Clean Core frameworks
- Implementation knowledge on Native SQL, ADBC, External View, ABAP Core data Services, AMDP Procedures, Text Search, ALV on HANA.
- Practical experience in creating custom and enhance standard CDS view and AMDP class based on business requirement, various available annotation in CDS views.
- Good knowledge on other new SAP technologies such as Fiori SAPUI5, SAP BTP Integration Suite
Other relevant skills:
- Confirmed ability to be flexible and agile, both independently and in a team
- Relevant SAP technical certification a plus
- Worked in a Global environment at a Team Lead level and demonstrated growth and achievement.
- Practical Knowledge of Code Performance Rules and Guidelines for SAP HANA
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Possess interpersonal skills to engage and collaborate in a team environment
