Responsible for formulating and defining systems and objectives through research and analysis of functional/business needs of applicable operational support systems. Retrieves, analyzes, and summarizes business, operations, employee, customer, and/or economic data to develop business intelligence, optimize effectiveness, predict business outcomes and decision-making purposes. Involved with numerous key business decisions by conducting the analyses that inform our TPX Connect business strategy. Participates in project planning, software testing and deployments, and operational reviews. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex business and system problems. Core Responsibilities
- Works with business leaders and stakeholders to understand data and analysis needs and develop technical requirements.
- Determines relevancy of data and identifies alternative data sources as needed to ensure analytics requested by business stakeholders can be completed.
- Analyzes large, complex data to determine actionable business insights using self-service analytics and reporting tools.
- Communicates findings clearly and concisely through narrative-driven presentations and effective data visualizations to Company executives and decisionmakers.
- Promotes and evangelizes a culture of excellence, data driven discussions, healthy skepticism, intellectual curiosity, knowledge sharing, and teamwork.
- Stays current with emerging trends in analytics, statistics, and machine learning and applies them to business challenges.
- Analyzes and revises existing system logic difficulties and documentation, as necessary. Works with Product and Software Developers to support and align design and development against business outcomes.
- Performs analysis of user needs, documentation of requirements and translation into proper system requirement specifications.
- Identifies and assesses probable interactions of related systems and predicts impact of a change in assigned system.
- Maintains a strong working knowledge of user and system interactions to reduce operational impacts and improve overall success of achieving desired business outcome.
- Functions as a liaison between the client, community, and internal Software Engineers to develop system solutions to operational problems.
- Ensures data quality and integrity across data-specific application implementations.
- May review proposals, including gathering facts, analyzing data, and preparing project overview which compares alternatives in terms of cost, time, availability of equipment and personnel etc. Recommends course of action.
- Supports product portfolio in validating that the programs meet the requirements. Participates in unit, integration, and test procedures. Compares test results against requirements to validate success against desired outcome.
