Comcast Technical Project Manager Co-op

This program immerses students into the daily operation of a contemporary media and technology company while working side-by-side with Comcast’s top innovators. The student becomes an integral part of the Comcast team working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units.

Role Description 

As a Technical Project Manager Co-op, you will specifically work with the technology teams to assist with special projects. You will be part of an active software development team without having to learn to code. Instead, you will be a part of the Delivery team to learn and apply project management principles, Agile tenets, and various business principles to ensure the successful delivery of various features by the technology teams.  

You will try many different aspects of building technology tools that are not directly code or design, such as Project Management and Portfolio Management.

What are some interesting problems the student will work on?  

In your role, you will help with building and maintaining the CONNECT Portfolio, managing programs by ensuring every project within a program agrees with CONNECT's vision and strategic goals, leading and delivering on projects. Assist with prioritizing projects that are in scope for the quarter and coordinate with project managers to obtain status updates in meeting quarterly deliverables.   

Where can this student make an impact?  

You’ll be working to define CONNECT portfolio / deliverables to align with our strategic goals.   Assist in implementing security initiatives, support annual budget planning, and other special projects as needed.   

Job Responsibilities 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

• Support the quarterly portfolio planning for CONNECT organization  

• Support the weekly/monthly CONNECT Plex organization accomplishments readout  

• Support process improvements for CONNECT portfolio reporting 

• Organizing and maintaining the Delivery team’s collaborative knowledge sharing tool  

• Working with software development teams on a day-to-day basis  

• Assist project managers and scrum masters in overseeing schedules and milestone management  

• Obtaining project status from technology team members  

• Learning and using task management and project management software  

• Implement and improve the project management and delivery processes.  

• Collecting and analyzing project data to provide recurring and adhoc reports with the purpose of measuring progress towards milestones and objectives.  

• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 

Preferred Skills 

• Strong organizational skills – if you like making a plan for working on a semester-long project, this will be a great fit.  

• Strong communication skills – if you enjoy explaining a complex idea in simpler terms, this co-op will be a good fit.  

• Smartsheets 

• Collaborative attitude   

• Working experience with Microsoft Office products, especially PowerPoint and Excel  

• Preferred Majors: Management Information Systems, Information Systems, Business and Engineering, Computing & Security Technology 

Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements 

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from Drexel University, with a cooperative learning track. 

• Available to work 40 hours per week for 6 months starting March 31, 2025 through September 19, 2025. 

• Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs 

• Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting (unless virtual offering)
