This program immerses students into the daily operation of a contemporary media and technology company while working side-by-side with Comcast’s top innovators. The student becomes an integral part of the Comcast team working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units.
Organization & Team Overview
Comcast’s Connected Living (CL) organization is responsible for developing, testing, and releasing the flagship Xfinity mobile app, which converges Comcast's Home Security, Home Network Management, Xfinity Hotspots, and Internet of Things product offerings into one single app.
Our team, Customer Engagement, builds platforms to support the Xfinity App, which millions of customers use every day. These platforms enable hundreds of software engineers to develop personalized experiences for the Xfinity App. Our engineers take pride in developing features that have a direct impact on both customers and engineering productivity.
Role Description
Are you passionate about software engineering? Do you like big challenges and working within a highly motivated team environment?
As a Software Engineer Intern on the Customer Engagement team, you will have the opportunity to work on mobile or API development, depending on your interests. You’ll gain software development experience using cutting-edge technologies, including Android, iOS, or middleware platform development in Java deployed on the cloud. You’ll also learn all the phases of the software development cycle and develop production-grade solutions that customers will be using directly.
You’ll be working with the best and brightest minds in Comcast while we roll out the new features in the Xfinity mobile application. Success in this role is characterized by a higher speed to market, with fewer customer-facing defects and outages.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Collaborate on requirements collection and analysis as needed for assigned tasks.
Contribute to developing new platforms and software under guidance from senior engineers.
Engage in pair programming, team code reviews, peer code review, and user story acceptance as needed.
Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance.
Team player with a professional work ethic and positive attitude.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Coding Skills in one of the popular programming languages like Java, Go, C++, Swift, etc.

Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university
Rising Junior or Rising Senior only (must have a graduation date between Winter 2025- Spring 2027)
Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship (meaning, student must be returning to school for Fall 2025 semester before graduating)
Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program- June 2 through August 15, 2025
Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting (unless virtual offering)
