Driver Development Engineer
Location: Hyderabad, India
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and validate device drivers using C#/.NET under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Support embedded software development and testing on STM32-based microcontroller platforms.
- Assist in testing and debugging hardware and software issues on prototype and production test boards.
- Participate in system-level validation during tester development.
- Execute software and hardware test plans and document test results.
- Support hardware testing, debugging, and automated calibration activities.
- Perform prototype board verification and basic design validation.
- Use laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, power meters, and network analyzers for testing and troubleshooting
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical Engineering (EEE), Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation (E&I), or related disciplines from India premier colleges like IIT, NIT, BITS.
- 0 to 1 year experience (preferred 2026 graduated batch)
Skills
- Basic knowledge of C#/.NET or object-oriented programming concepts.
- Understanding of embedded systems and microcontrollers.
- Basic programming knowledge in C, C++, or C#.
- Familiarity with electronic circuits and components.
- Basic understanding of communication protocols such as USB, I²C, SPI, or UART.
- Exposure to debugging and testing tools through academic projects or internships is an added advantage.
Working Conditions
The work mode of Finisar Test Development Department, India is Mandatory 5 days at office.
