We are seeking a Technical Lead DBA who brings strong hands-on database expertise together with proven technical leadership capabilities.

As a Cognyter, you will:

• Provide technical leadership for the design, operation, and evolution of enterprise database platforms.
• Lead complex database initiatives from architecture and planning through deployment and production support.
• Mentor engineers and drive technical excellence across the team.
• Define best practices, standards, automation strategies, and operational processes.
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture, R&D, DevOps, and customer-facing teams.
• Lead investigations of critical performance, scalability, availability, and data integrity challenges.
• Drive technology evaluations, migrations, modernization efforts, and POCs.

Requirements

Your toolbox

• 5-7 years of DBA experience in enterprise-scale environments.
• Proven experience leading projects, mentoring engineers, or acting as a Technical Lead / Team Lead.
• Deep expertise in database administration, performance tuning, high availability, backup & recovery, and troubleshooting.
• Strong Linux background and automation mindset.
• Experience with scripting and development tools (Python, Bash, or similar).
• Strong experience with SQL Server
• Hands-on experience with several of the following technologies: PostgreSQL, Greenplum, CockroachDB, ClickHouse, Sybase ASE / IQ, Elasticsearch / OpenSearch
• Experience with Kubernetes, DevOps processes, and CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins is an advantage.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and large-scale production environments.
