About the Role

We’re looking for experienced full stack design engineers who thrive in fast-moving startups, and are excited to set the standard UX for how developers will interact with coding agents.

You’ll work closely with other engineers, the product and go-to-market teams at Cognition, and our design partners.

In this role, you will:

  • Build!

  • Design performant, beautiful, and usable interfaces that developers love

  • Perfect the details of interacting with coding agents to set the standard UX for agent products

  • Advocate for our users and novel ideas by continuously iterating on and improving the product experience

  • Plan and deploy front end infrastructure necessary to build, test, and deploy the Devin app

  • Own the end-to-end development from design concept to implementing server-side logic and integrating with databases using backend technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java)

  • Create and maintain RESTful APIs to connect frontend and backend systems

  • Contribute more broadly to Devin’s development

Requirements for the role:

  • Demonstrate a track record of exceptional achievements and impactful contributions in your academic and/or professional experiences

  • Thrive in ambiguous and rapidly changing environments — you’re willing to move fast and quickly grow in scope and responsibility

  • You have a demonstrated exceptional ability to learn

  • You have experience building production web apps at scale using TypeScript, NextJS , React, JavaScript, CSS and other web technologies
