Senior .NET Engineer Backend

Key Responsibilities
● Backend Architecture & API Design: Architect, build, and maintain scalable backend services and
RESTful APIs using .NET 8 / .NET Core and C# to power modern web applications and automated
workflows.
● High-Performance SQL & T-SQL Engineering: Design and optimize complex SQL Server / T-SQL
queries, stored procedures, indexing strategies, and transactional data access patterns tailored for
high-volume, low-latency execution.
● Database Modernization & Tuning: Identify and resolve database bottlenecks, optimize data
structures, write efficient migration scripts, and minimize query latency across legacy and
modernized platforms.
● System Modernization: Lead technical efforts to modernize legacy application logic (e.g.,
ASP.NET MVC, Web Forms, or monolithic backend services) into modular, service-oriented, or
microservices-based cloud architectures.
● Integrations & Cloud Services: Build robust integration pipelines and connect backend services to
cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure) and third-party tools via clean, decoupled API contracts.
● Code Quality & Technical Standards: Establish best practices for unit testing (NUnit/xUnit), code
reviews, database performance tuning, design patterns (SOLID principles), and automated CI/CD
deployment pipelines.
● Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with frontend developers, database admins, and product
managers to define technical requirements, scope sprints, and eliminate architectural bottlenecks.
Required Qualifications & Technical Skills
● Experience: 5+ years of professional backend software engineering experience with the .NET
ecosystem and SQL Server.
● Core Tech Stack: Advanced hands-on expertise in C#, .NET Core / .NET 8, ASP.NET Web API,
and RESTful web service architecture.
● T-SQL & Database Mastery: Deep hands-on experience with SQL Server, advanced T-SQL
(complex joins, CTEs, window functions, stored procedures, user-defined functions), query plan
analysis, indexing optimization, and Entity Framework / EF Core.
● Performance Tuning: Proven capability in diagnosing database performance issues, minimizing
query locks/deadlocks, and engineering data access layers built for reliability and speed.
● Architecture Patterns: Solid experience with microservices, dependency injection, asynchronous
programming, and domain-driven design principles.
● DevOps & Testing: Hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks, Git version control, and
standard CI/CD pipeline tools (Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions).

● AI-Assisted Development: Proficiency in using AI development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor,
Claude Code) to write unit tests, refactor legacy T-SQL/C# code, and accelerate technical delivery.
