Overview

We're looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer who is passionate about building scalable backend systems and solving complex integration challenges. In this role, you'll design and develop backend APIs that power content transformation and localization services used across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend APIs using Python and Node.js.
• Build API integrations that export and apply translated content using XLIFF.
• Troubleshoot and resolve content model, identifier, and integration edge cases.
• Develop solutions for structured content transformation across multiple services.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable backend solutions.
• Ensure high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code following backend engineering best practices.

Qualifications

• 4-5+ years of experience in backend software development.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Python and Node.js.
• Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of API integration and backend service architecture.
• Experience working with structured content, document transformation, or data processing.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with XLIFF and localization workflows.
• Familiarity with Okapi Framework.
• Experience working with XML and similar structured markup formats.
• Exposure to content management or localization platforms.
• Relevant certifications in backend development or localization technologies.

**Candidate must be open to work from 6pm-3am(Mon-Friday)

 **Role is Full-Time position.
