The Role

As a Deployed Engineer Intern at Codeium, you'll learn how to work directly with customers to understand their pain points and challenges in software development, helping identify how our suite of AI coding assistant products can address their needs. 

You'll work alongside Deployed Engineers at Codeium, assisting them with conducting technical discovery, providing technical training, creating technical documentation, troubleshooting deployments, resolving customer issues, and  deploying the Codeium solution(configuration, implementation, and testing). 

You'll develop skills in problem-solving and technical analysis while supporting our team in demonstrating how organizations can optimize their software development lifecycle through AI assistance. Your unique position at the intersection of customers and product will make you a valuable source of feedback for our engineering team – helping identify emerging issues, shape product improvements, and influence our development roadmap. This internship provides hands-on experience in a technical pre sales role, where you will learn to enable teams how to leverage coding assistants to drive productivity and success.

What we're looking for

• We expect you to be able to have basic coding skills, our customers are developers and you should be able to speak their language

• Willingness to learn, take on new challenges with limited context, and make decisions with limited direction. 

• Ability to collaborate in teams of technical and non-technical individuals.

• Experience in consulting roles, technical sales roles, or previous software engineering internships is a huge plus.

• A team player.

• A self-starter. Hunger to dream up, plan, and execute tasks independently.

• Be able to communicate technology in a simple manner

• Be awesome at demos and videos

• Passion for AI and new technology

• Familiarity with AI-powered developer tools like Codeium, Copilot, ChatGPT, and others is a strong plus

• Writing tests and automation are a plus

• Must be planning on graduating in Fall 2025 or Summer 2026.

Our best work is done in person. The team goes in 5 days a week into our office in downtown Mountain View, CA (within walking distance of the Caltrain station).

We truly have one of the best teams in Silicon Valley. We need to hire team members who can communicate the advancement, excitement, and passion of the product and technology for the Sales team and our customers.
