Job Description

Job Title:

Azure DevOps/ Cloud Resiliency Architect ( English and Swedish)

Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a senior, hands-on Cloud Solution Architect to support enterprise, public-sector, and highly regulated customers. The primary focus is Azure DevOps Services and Azure DevOps Server (on-premises), supported by strong CI/CD and hybrid DevOps expertise. GitHub is strongly recommended competency.

The successful candidate will design, deliver, operate, and modernize DevOps solutions across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments. The role requires strong practical capability in both Azure DevOps Services and Azure DevOps Server / TFS. GitHub experience is valuable for customer scenarios but is not the main focus of the role.

Key Responsibilities

Azure DevOps Server and hybrid platform delivery (Primary)

Design, deploy, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Azure DevOps Server / TFS environments.

Support upgrades from TFS or earlier Azure DevOps Server versions, and migrations to Azure DevOps Services where appropriate.

Manage project collections, build and release infrastructure, agents, repositories, permissions, backup and recovery, performance, availability, and operational reliability.

Integrate on-premises DevOps platforms with Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL Server, networking, identity, security, and enterprise infrastructure.

Azure DevOps Services (Primary)

Provide hands-on guidance across Azure Boards, Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts, and Test Plans.

Design Git workflows, branching strategies, pull-request practices, and enterprise repository standards.

Provide working-level support for GitHub Enterprise Cloud or Server and GitHub Actions when required by the engagement.

Lead modernization from legacy development tooling to Azure DevOps Services, including hybrid and staged migration approaches.

GitHub platform support (Secondary)

Apply GitHub or GitHub Enterprise knowledge where it complements the customer’s Azure DevOps strategy.

Support GitHub Actions and GitHub security capabilities when required, without making GitHub the core specialization of the role.

CI/CD, automation, and DevSecOps

Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for applications and infrastructure.

Create reusable YAML pipeline templates, automation standards, validation controls, and release practices.

Use PowerShell, Bash, or Python and apply infrastructure-as-code practices with ARM, Bicep, or Terraform where appropriate.

Implement DevSecOps controls such as security scanning, secrets management, access controls, traceability, and compliance-aligned delivery practices.

Customer delivery and advisory

Lead workshops, assessments, proofs of concept, pilots, production deployments, and technical remediation activities.

Act as a trusted advisor to technical and business stakeholders in complex and security-sensitive environments.

Lead troubleshooting, escalation management, and root-cause analysis, with clear documentation and action plans.

Collaborate with CSAMs, Global Delivery teams, partners, product engineering, infrastructure, and security teams.

Mandatory Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Server / TFS in enterprise production environments.

Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Services, including repositories and CI/CD pipelines.

Working knowledge of GitHub or GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Actions.

Experience designing and operating CI/CD across hybrid or on-premises environments.

Strong knowledge of Git; familiarity with TFVC is required for legacy Azure DevOps Server environments.

Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL Server, networking, identity, and platform dependencies.

Scripting experience with YAML and at least one of PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

Experience in customer-facing technical delivery, including troubleshooting and stakeholder communication.

Fluent English, spoken and written.

Fluent Swedish, spoken and written, due to the customer environment.

Swedish citizenship and eligibility to undergo the applicable Swedish security-clearance process.

Ability to work onsite in Sweden and travel when required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with public-sector, defense, classified, or other highly regulated environments.

Experience with GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, or GitHub Advanced Security.

Knowledge of Azure infrastructure, Kubernetes / AKS, Helm, GitOps, monitoring, logging, or API integrations.

Experience with Power Platform ALM and CI/CD is a plus, but not required.

Relevant certification such as AZ-400 or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert.
