Who We Are
Our team is part of Cloudinary’s Assets group, building a high-scale, distributed product on top of modern cloud infrastructure.
We create solutions used by both technical and non-technical users to manage, deliver, transform, and collaborate on media assets throughout their lifecycle, through both API and UI.
We take full ownership of what we build, from shaping solutions and making technical decisions to delivering production-ready capabilities with real customer impact.
We are a collaborative, proactive, and product-minded team, with members based in Israel and Poland, working primarily in English.
What You’ll Do
- Build impactful backend solutions – Design and develop scalable services and infrastructure that support core product capabilities, with a strong focus on reliability, simplicity, and business impact.
- Own features end to end – Work closely with product managers and engineers to take ideas from design through implementation, deployment, and ongoing improvement.
- Work across a modern backend stack – Develop and operate services using technologies such as AWS, Terraform, Go, and Ruby-based backend systems in a cloud-native environment.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools – Use AI coding tools to their full potential in day-to-day development, and help drive best practices around how the team adopts and works with these tools effectively.
- Maintain high engineering standards – Write clean, scalable, maintainable code and contribute to thoughtful architectural decisions that align with broader platform goals.
- Improve and evolve the system – Identify opportunities to enhance performance, developer experience, and product capabilities, including the adoption of new tools and approaches where they create value.
What We’re Looking For
- Experienced backend engineer – Several years of hands-on backend development experience, building and maintaining scalable production systems.
- Strong backend fundamentals – Solid experience designing and developing distributed systems, APIs, and cloud-based services in production environments.
- Relevant stack experience – Strong hands-on experience with AWS and modern backend infrastructure. Experience with services and technologies such as SQS, EKS, Lambda, Terraform, and Go is highly valued.
- AI-forward mindset – Experience building AI agents is a strong advantage, especially with platforms such as AWS Bedrock AgentCore.
- Product-minded and pragmatic – You care about delivering value, not just writing code. You know how to balance speed, quality, and long-term maintainability.|
- Collaborative and adaptable – You work well with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders, and are comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment with changing priorities.
- Engaged team player – You bring ownership, communication, and positive energy to the team, and enjoy working closely with others to solve meaningful problems.
