About the Role
We’re looking for a developer who can build and scale core features for our Shopify App focused on order editing and upsells. You will work closely with the product and growth teams to translate merchant needs into elegant, high-performance solutions. This is a high-ownership role where you’ll build backend and frontend components, manage deployments, and ship features that directly impact merchants across global markets.
Key Responsibilities
• Build, own, and enhance core product features across the Shopify app.
• Develop high-quality, scalable backend components using Node.js and frontend components using React.js.
• Collaborate with product and growth teams to turn merchant problems into user-friendly solutions.
• Manage development tasks with clarity, maintain strong documentation, and communicate proactively.
• Work with AWS to deploy, monitor, and optimize production systems.
What We Are Looking For
• 2+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and React.js.
• Experience with AWS, cloud infrastructure, and Postgres.
• Clear communication skills and strong organizational habits.
• A strong product mindset with the ability to think from the user’s perspective and own features end-to-end.
Nice-to-haves
• Prior experience building Shopify apps.
• Strong frontend and UI/UX sense.
• Experience using AI tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, etc.) to improve development speed.
• Built or shipped an app or project from scratch with real users.
