About The Role
As a Senior Automation QA Engineer, you help prevent shipping defects, accelerate delivery and improve quality in our leading customer-engagement product as part of a cross-functional team, directly contributing to feature development and maintenance. You are responsible for designing and implementing test automation practices in close collaboration with engineering and product. You share a passion for high-quality software and strong engineering principles.
What you will do
- Build and/or grow our existing automation framework, developing new automation tests (end-to-end, integration, performance etc.) and tools for our frontend, backend APIs and services
- Ensure that shipped features are tested and meet customer requirements
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand product requirements, prepare test cases and identify test scenarios for automation
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure testability and maintainability of automated test scripts
- Partner with engineers to build and maintain tooling for test development, automation and release processes
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives- Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and tools related to test automation

What we are looking for
Must have:
- CS degree or equivalent
- 3+ years of software engineering experience in test automation
- Front-end or Back-end automation scripting
- Knowledge and experience with programming languages such as Java, JS, C# and/or Python, ability to write scripts and small tools
- Hands-on experience with API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar- Problem-solving mindset, self-starter, passion for quality- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with the capability to work effectively in a team environment
- Experience with test management tools and version control systems like Git
- Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
Good to have:
- Experience with building/contributing on automation frameworks
- Mobile testing experience is a plus
- Non-functional testing experience is a plus
