Join a fast-growing, Y Combinator–backed fintech startup building a leading voice-AI platform for financial services. The company powers AI-driven omnichannel engagement — voice, text, and email — for lenders and financial institutions, helping them automate collections and servicing operations with full regulatory compliance. The platform handles thousands of live calls daily and serves major enterprise clients across the financial sector.

As a Software Engineer, you'll own core product features end-to-end, work across the full stack, and ship code that goes live in production every day. You'll be a formative member of the engineering team, helping shape the architecture, culture, and standards of a company scaling rapidly.

What You'll Do

• Build and own core product features that directly impact customers.

• Work across the stack — backend systems, APIs, voice infrastructure — wherever the product needs you.

• Ship code daily and see it go live in production for enterprise clients.

• Dive into challenging technical domains others avoid, such as telephony systems and real-time voice processing.

• Collaborate directly with customers to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions.

• Make technical decisions that shape the product's architecture and long-term direction.

• Help establish engineering standards and culture as the team scales.

• Spend 80%+ of your time coding and building.

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 3–10+ years of software engineering experience, with a track record of owning features or systems end-to-end in production.

• Strong collaboration and communication skills; comfortable working cross-functionally with product, design, and data science in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Experience deploying and operating cloud-native applications on AWS, including CI/CD pipelines and monitoring/observability.

• Proficiency with the core tech stack: TypeScript, Node.js/Express, PostgreSQL, and Git.

Nice to Have:

• Experience integrating messaging channels such as SMS, WhatsApp, and email into applications.

• Familiarity with the fintech domain and/or financial-services regulatory and security considerations (e.g., CFPB, TCPA, PCI, HIPAA, GDPR).

• Exposure to telephony systems or real-time voice/audio processing.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $120,000 – $200,000 USD annually, depending on experience.

This is an on-site role based in San Francisco, CA. The team works together in person to move fast and stay closely aligned.
