Founding Engineer Intern

About the Role

This is a founding-team internship at a pre-seed AI startup building an end-to-end automated headhunting platform. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with the CTO, shipping full-stack features daily and directly shaping how AI changes the way people find jobs at high-growth startups.

What You'll Do

• Build and ship end-to-end product features to production on a daily cadence.

• Collaborate closely with the founding team to own components from ideation through deployment.

• Develop and iterate on a fully agentic system that automates the headhunting workflow end-to-end.

• Engage directly with users to measure impact on hiring speed and experience.

• Contribute to a fast, high-output, low-ego engineering culture with a strong ownership mindset.

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled in or pursuing a degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.

• At least 6 months of professional or project-based experience building production features in TypeScript and React.

• Production experience with Supabase, Prisma, and Typesense in a React/TypeScript stack.

• Full-stack focus — comfortable owning both frontend and backend; not primarily an ML engineer or specialised in a single language (e.g. Python, C++).

• Portfolio or GitHub demonstrating full-stack development and open-source contributions.

• Standout credentials or projects: strong academic record, notable GitHub activity, or recognised side projects.

• Prior experience in entrepreneurial, early-stage, or rapid-iteration environments.

• Familiarity with Cursor as a development tool is a plus.

• Willingness to work 6 days per week and work on-site in San Francisco.

Location

Hybrid — primary location is San Francisco, California, USA. On-site presence at the team's SF workspace is expected. Visa sponsorship is available.
