About the Role

This is a founding engineer position at an early-stage AI fintech company building intelligent automation for private market operations. You'll work directly alongside the founding team and customers to shape the core product — an AI-powered platform that automates fund accounting workflows like data capture, reconciliation, and journal entry generation. This is a maximum-ownership role with a clear path into leadership.

What You'll Do

• Build and iterate on core product components, including AI agents that integrate with inboxes, web portals, and financial data sources.

• Design and develop production-grade backend APIs and services that power end-to-end private market operations workflows.

• Work directly with design partners and customers to gather requirements, define the product roadmap, and communicate trade-offs.

• Contribute to recruiting and help shape the culture and team as an early hire.

• Operate with high autonomy in a fast-paced, ambiguous founding environment.

What We're Looking For

• 1–3 years of professional software engineering experience.

• Hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs) and agentic/autonomous system development.

• Strong backend development skills, including building and operating production-grade APIs and services.

• Experience building or maintaining AI-native operations infrastructure (e.g. accounting, reporting, reconciliation, or treasury systems).

• Domain knowledge in private markets fund accounting, reporting, reconciliation, and treasury processes.

• Comfort working in a founding team environment with high ownership, proactive communication, and comfort with ambiguity.

• Experience integrating and operating LLMs and agent-based systems in production.

• Eligibility to work in Germany (visa sponsorship is available).

• Based in or willing to relocate to Berlin, Germany.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: €70,000 – €110,000 per year. Visa sponsorship is available for eligible candidates.
