Job Description

We are looking for an Associate Development Operations Engineer to join our global Cloud Operations team at Clarivate in Jerusalem, Israel. This is an exciting entry-level opportunity to build practical experience across private-cloud infrastructure, Linux systems, CI/CD, automation, monitoring, and production support. You will collaborate with colleagues and teams across the globe and receive structured onboarding and buddy support. We would love to speak with you if you have foundational technical knowledge, strong English communication skills, and a genuine interest in developing your career in DevOps and cloud operations.

About You

  • Bachler degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field.

  • Knowledge of Linux or Unix environments gained through academic projects, technical training, internships, military service, personal projects, or initial professional experience.

  • Foundational understanding of DevOps concepts, CI/CD processes, cloud infrastructure, or systems administration.

  • Basic scripting or automation skills using Bash, Python, or a comparable scripting language.

  • Familiarity with source control and a basic understanding of how software is built, tested, and deployed.

  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts such as DNS, routing, firewalls, load balancers, or network troubleshooting.

It Would Be Great If You Also Had...

  • Exposure to virtualization technologies such as KVM, OVM, or VMware.

  • Familiarity with containers or orchestration technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.

  • Exposure to monitoring and observability tools, Jenkins pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, or configuration-management practices.

  • Basic knowledge of storage technologies.

What Will You Be Doing in This Role?

  • Support the day-to-day operation of private-cloud infrastructure and production services across multiple data centers.

  • Provide second-tier operational support by investigating incidents and service requests and directing issues to the appropriate technical owner when needed.

  • Monitor cloud services, review alerts and logs, and assist with identifying the causes of service disruptions.

  • Automate recurring operational tasks and contribute to improvements in monitoring, alert quality, documentation, and support procedures.

  • Assist with CI/CD deployments, service onboarding, system upgrades, infrastructure changes, storage migrations, and capacity improvements.

  • Document technical processes, troubleshooting steps, operational knowledge, and preventive procedures.

  • Collaborate with cloud infrastructure, support, and development teams across locations and time zones.

  • Use company-approved AI-assisted tools responsibly to support troubleshooting, automation, scripting, documentation, and knowledge discovery.

About the Team

You will join a global Cloud Operations team responsible for supporting cloud applications and services. The team includes colleagues in Israel, Germany, and China and works closely with infrastructure, application-development, and support teams. The environment is collaborative and hands-on, with a strong focus on communication, teamwork, continuous improvement, and ownership.

Hours of Work

This is a full-time, hybrid position based in our Jerusalem, Israel office. The role includes participation in an after-hours on-call rotation, approximately once every two months, including occasional weekend coverage. Occasionally planned maintenance outside regular business hours and flexibility to collaborate across global time zones may also be required.
