Senior Software Engineer (.NET/Angular)

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer (.NET/Angular) to join our Docket team in Belgrade. The work is focused on the development and maintenance of our web-based applications for the Intellectual Property Market while actively shaping the future of given products, as well as team practices and processes. If you are passionate about backend development and have experience and aspirations towards front-end development, this is the perfect opportunity for you! 
 

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments 

• 3+ years of professional working experience in developing C# .NET applications
• 2+ years of experience using HTML5, CSS and JavaScript libraries and common front end frameworks (ideally Angular)
   

It would be great if you also had . . . 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related Engineering degree 
• Experience working with cloud-based applications and cloud tools
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban 
• Knowledge of Oracle or SQL server dbs
• Experience with implementing and testing integrations between multiple systems
   

What will you be doing in this role? 

• Participate in the full systems life cycle, with a greater focus on back-end development
• Perform high-quality coding, code commenting, debugging, bug fixing, testing and unit-testing, and other supplementary related activities
• Work by Scrum methodology
• Perform code reviews
• Working closely with product management to scope and deliver the product roadmap
• Resolve the challenging technical and application requirements of the project
• Optimize and maintain web applications for maximum speed and scalability 
   

Product you will be developing 

Docket is a productivity tool, in essence, an intellectual property (IP) document processor with the goal of ingesting and automating the processing of documents and correspondences from different input sources to the Intellectual Property Management System (IMPS). From the technical perspective, Docket is a SaaS solution utilizing various Azure services to achieve the goal. We use Azure Service Bus, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, and Azure App Services to host our scalable .NET code. 
 

About the team 

We're a small and highly talented team. Currently, the Docket team has 4 talented engineers in Belgrade, and we collaborate with the rest of our international team. This role reports to our Team Lead, Software Engineering from Belgrade. The docket application is part of a wider .NET eco-sphere that consists of 100+ people. We have a great skill set in .NET, C#, SQL, and common front-end frameworks and technology.

Hours of Work  

This is a permanent full-time position, with core engagement hours within CET time zone.

This is a hybrid position, you will be expected to work from our Belgrade office 3 days every other week.
