Senior Software Engineer- Front end

We are looking for a Senior Front End Developer to join our DRG team in India to help us build and maintain our content ingestion and enhancement platform. If you passionate about coding and have a history of leading the development of a scalable could system, we’d love to hear from you! We are looking for someone who has experience with Java, and ideally has strong knowledge of relational databases. It will be great if you have experience with Angular/AngularJS as well.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments:

• Graduates in BE/BTech/MTech – Computer science
• Atleast 5 years of experience in of Frontend Frameworks such as Angular/AngularJS
• Good knowledge of Backend Development skills in Java or Python
• Solid understanding of relational database such as MySQL, SQLServer

It would be great if you also had:

• Extensive experience with software development best practices, including version control, documentation, testing and build deployments
• Preferably to have a history of implementing a system with a microservices design
• Preferably to have experience with XML/JSON and format transformation
• Attention to detail in collaboration and documentation, actively communicating project priorities, handling risks, and understanding trade-offs
• Strong organizational, communication, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

What will you be doing in this role?

• Support, maintain, and enhance existing systems.
• Ensure the continuing operation of the data automation systems.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, design and implement elegant solutions for the data automation system with microservice architecture.
• Lead system design discussions and recommend alternate choices, trade-offs, and impact analysis.
• Serve as a mentor to your team members, lead by example and assist your team members in need.
• Produce efficient, maintainable, and well-tested code, by practicing code review process, following code style guides, writing documentation and ensuring test coverage.
• Partner with other platform development teams to integrate solutions into the greater content platform.
• Collaborate with the product owner, project manager, software engineers, and QA engineers to quickly address production issues, plan short-term and long-term goals, and forecast release timelines within an Agile environment.

About the Team

• The Content Platform Development team consists of multiple squads working on different initiatives from content ingestion platforms to workflow automation systems, helping our internal users deliver quality, enhanced content to our customer facing platforms.

Hours of Work

• 45 hours per week, permanent full-time position
