We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer to join our ScholarOne team in Belgrade! You will be supporting our SaaS workflow and analytic business systems. The Senior QA Engineer has a critical role both as an analyst and quality contributor to our process, ensuring that every product we deliver to clients is of the highest quality.
You will be part of a cross-functional team of technologists and business teams with a responsibility to ensure a quality focus as part of the development process. As a Software Test Engineer, you will be involved throughout the development lifecycle with particular responsibility in the quality assurance of software development, Tier 3 production support, and test automation creating test scripts and test scenarios.
About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
- 3+ years of software testing experience including test case design, execution, defect tracking, and reporting
- 3+ years’ experience building, managing, executing, and reporting automated tests; Selenium Java
- 2+ years of working experience with Agile development methodologies such as Scrum
- 2+ years of experience in analyzing user stories and acceptance criteria and translating them into test case scenarios and test cases

- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Design, or related field
- Experience with RESTful API testing – Postman
- Experience with UFT
- Experience testing 3rd party integrations - APIs, Microservices, SLAs
- Experience testing responsive web design
- Experience with load testing using tools such as NeoLoad
- Testing enterprise applications deployed to AWS
- Experience with test management and tracking tools such as Jira, Quality Center/ ALM, etc..
What will you be doing in this role
- Work as part of a collaborative team of technologists and business partners to provide the highest quality experience for our customers
- Ensure quality assurance processes are implemented and adhered to by project squads
- Develop, execute, and maintain test automation scripts using Selenium Java and Postman
- Design, develop and execute functional, integration, system and regression tests
- Perform test execution, defect management, and test case reporting for development cycles and production patch defects
- Provide after-hours on-call support as necessary and assist with releases and product maintenance on a rotating basis
- Provide testing estimates test scenarios and test cases for user stories

About the Team
We’re a flexible and easy-going group of engineers and we make an international team of over 15 members! You will be reporting to our Senior Manager, Software Engineer who is based in the US. The Belgrade team consists of 4 QA Engineers, and there is an active daily collaboration with QA Engineers from Novi Sad and the US. You will coordinate with the team to schedule the on-call rotation duty, which occurs once every 8 weeks and requires you to be available with your laptop in case of escalations.

Hours of Work
This is a permanent full-time position, with core engagement hours within the CET time zone.
This is a hybrid position, you will be expected to work from our Belgrade office 3 days every other week.
This position includes on-call rotation support and occurs every 8th week.
