Senior Lead, Software Engineer - Java

We are looking for a Senior Lead Software Engineer to join our Technology team at Clarivate. This is an amazing opportunity to work on our Transformation Product Suite.

About You – Experience, Education, Skills, and Accomplishments

• Bachelor/master’s degree in computer science or related field with good communication and analytical skills. 

• 7+ years of experience developing web-based applications using Java, Spring, Hibernate and related technologies. 

• 7+ years of experience developing, releasing, and maintaining web services using Java or other Object-Oriented programming languages.  

• Extensive experience in building containerized applications and deploying to public or private clouds, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or similar providers. 

• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, distributed systems (high-availability, scalability/performance, security). 

• Experience with relational databases and database design using SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, No-SQL based database systems, etc. 

• Extensive experience working with Version Control Systems like GIT, SVN, etc. 

What will you be doing in this role?  

To be successful in this role, you will need strong technical and analytical skills to be applied to overcome challenges that arise when working across multiple technologies.  You will work closely with your agile team for creating high-quality, innovative, and intuitive solutions to challenging and complex business problems.  

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing and deployment. 

• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices and coding standards. 

• Develop and maintain unit and integration tests that are part of an automated Continuous Integration pipeline. 

• Work closely with other teams (e.g., QA, Product) to release high-quality software.  

• Participate in group improvement activities and initiatives to improve process and product quality in pursuit of excellence.  

• Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise during development, testing, and production. 

• Stay up to date with new technologies and trends in software development.

Hours of work

This is a full-time opportunity with Clarivate, 9 hours of work per day including lunch break. you should be flexible with working hours to align with globally distributed teams and stakeholders.
