Description

We are looking for passionate engineers who will work closely with the development teams to expand & maintain CI/CD processes, integrate new technologies & cloud services to provide an edge to our business & help drive innovation. The person should be obsessed with Automation, increasing velocity and control in everything that we do, while following standard corporate processes to keep the cloud infrastructure healthy, cost-optimized, and secure.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science is preferred, otherwise, an equivalent experience
  • At least 4 years of work experience as a DevOps supporting development teams
  • Deep working knowledge on AWS (EC2, ECS) & Linux Operating System
  • Deep scripting skills in either bash and/or python
  • Deep knowledge of CI/CD approaches using Jenkins Pipelines
  • Working knowledge on implementing Terraform to maintain Infrastructure-as-a-Code in AWS

It would be great if you also had . . .  

  • Good to have knowledge on containerization technologies (docker, docker-compose, Kubernetes)
  • Good knowledge of cloud-native software architectures based on microservices and deployment strategies (blue/green)
  • Good understanding of SDLC, patching, releases, and basic systems administration activities
  • Good understanding of configuration management tools like Ansible

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Automate SDLC processes following standard CI/CD practices
  • Simplify the software delivery processes and improve the Developer Experience
  • Support cloud-based solutions by building and managing infrastructure in AWS as Code
  • Script to enhance our internal services and automation processes
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement changes to deploy software configurations and installations
  • Be part of the development teams to get things done, analyze and fix issues identified or reported
  • Keep consistent documentation as part of any task assigned
  • Be on-call as needed for critical production issues

About the team:

Our team’s mission is to enable Clarivate’s business lines to bring their ideas to market more quickly, with higher quality, to create better outcomes for our customers.  Our team sits centrally within Clarivate and provides DevOps support  creating and managing infrastructure using DevOps best practices and tools/automations that power our customer-facing products. In this role you will be part of the Clarivate DevOps Community that supports the Development team with automation processes that helps them deliver software continuously and the needed infrastructure in AWS using IaC principles.

Hours of Work  

  • Full time (Bangalore location)
  • 45hrs/work- 10am to 7pm or 11-8pm
  • Hybrid mode
  • 24*7 on-call support
    (10 days in month 24*7 on call support which includes 1 weekend support)
