Lead Software Engineer- Ruby on Rails

Job Summary

We are looking for a ‘Product Development Engineers’ in Ruby On Rails with Elastic Search and Docker Knowledge  to join our Technology team at Clarivate.

We have a great skill set in Ruby on Rails , Elastic Search ,Docker Containers , AWS and we would love to speak with you if you have good analytical skills, passionate about technology, have the curiosity and drive to take on new possibilities.

About You (Skills & Experience Required)

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or master’s degree (BE, ME, B Tech, M Tech, MCA, MS) with good communication and logical skills.
• At least 5 years of experience in design and Development of web applications using Ruby On Rails Programming language. Understanding of design patterns and their use, and when to apply them
• Independently developed modules working in Ruby on Rails, Web development, JavaScript.
• Extensive experience with  front end fundamentals such as HTML/CSS and Bootstrap 3/4.
• Experience on Elastic Search .
• Experience on Restful API.
• Experience on GIT.
• Experience on Docker.
• Experience on RDBMS preferably SQL Server.
• Worked on reviewing/refactoring the code and optimizing performance of the application.
• Worked using Agile/Scrum process.

Nice to have one or more of the following:

• Experience in product development with AWS using Web Apps, Cloud Services.
• Any exposure in developing highly scalable applications would be a plus, especially using Container Orchestration.
• Experience in working with Angular would be a plus.
• Knowledge of implementing CI/CD would be a plus.
• Knowledge of Security requirements in application development.
• Knowledge of performance tuning for the application would be an added advantage.

About the Team   

The existing team is spread across globally and includes Developers, Product Owners, Product Managers, Architects with strong technical and analytical skills. We have a great skill set in Ruby on Rails, Elastic Search , Docker, SQL, JavaScript & AWS to name a few of the technologies.

You would be part of large Technology Group responsible for delivering world class products and innovative solutions in the field of IP & Analytics.

Hours of Work  

• Fulltime in IST zone
• 45 h/week
• Hybrid working model
• Work location Bangalore.
